I'm a simple pleasures kind of gal and magazines are my 5 (or 30) minutes of peace. This morning I've been laying around reading the Donna Hay Christmas edition and dreaming about what to cook for Christmas lunch. I have a few magazines dotted about the house here and there, so if I have a few spare moments I can pick one up, have a smile and then move on with my day. There's even a few Gardening Australia in the necessary room (toilet)!

I love to browse through a good mag. Donna Hay is a winner as is Real Living & Good Taste!
I have a few mags (ok far far too many that are threatening to take over every room in the entire house but I just can't stop) dotted around the place too!
Thats a nice way to spend a few minutes. Any good ideas re Christmas lunch? I have yet to start thinking about it.
yeah i agree..it's a verry relaxing thing to do
I love mags too. Especially love buying all the foodie mags at this time of year and then in the new year I go through them tearing out all the best recipes which I put into a file, very relaxing thing to do and I have four recipe files stuffed with culinary loveliness!!!
You're right, mags are a great way to relax. I like to take one of my favourites to a local coffee shop when I can escape at the weekend for just an hour or so...
ooh good 'retreat'! i always look forward to my hair appointment because its the only time i get to read my vanity fair!!
thanks for playing along with my theme this week!
Yes, a good magazine (or bad!) is a good escape from life. I am a magazine addict so I have to carefully watch myself or I could spend a fortune. I love to hop into bed and have a flick through something lovely, what a great way to end a day! xo
Haaaa me too, I'm a magazineholic ... always end my day ... as well as grabbing a few horizontal minutes at any chance I get. Fabulous post ;)
Ahahahahahaha....! Necessary room... I love it! What a cute little sign & all...!
