Produce bags

While we are on the subject of birthday sewing, I made some netting produce bags for my brother in-law Ben. I will be very interested to hear if they work or if they are a bit of a flop, as I've not used (or made) them before. The idea is that they are light and transparent like their plastic counterparts, but can be used again and again. I also read that netting allows airflow around the produce which keeps it fresh for longer?? I have a bit of netting left over, so I might have to make a few more and give them a burl!

Oh I've been meaning to do this too. I've heard silk can work well, but thinking that might be a bit posh for my veg.

Let us know how they go. I made some vegetable bags out of old sheeting. They work well too.
